Cloud Standards Wiki
The Cloud Standards Wiki is a resource documenting the activities of the various Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) working on cloud standards.
SCRM Wiki
The Open Grid Forum (OGF), a DMTF Alliance Partner, recently announced an online, Wiki-based reference guide of specifications and standards for the management of networked resources. Compiled by experts from cross institutional standards bodies throughout the world Ð including the DMTF Ð this reference guide is designed to grow and develop with the industry. The Wiki is available for viewing free-of-charge by anyone involved in grid or management technologies, and does not require registration.
Core ID Documents
The Core Identifier Workgroup, a joint initiative of The Open Group, the Network Applications Consortium (NAC), and the DMTF, have jointly released a Core Identifier Framework Matrix document that provides a reference point for identifier classifications and provides a basis for the selection of an identifier form for a global standard common core identifier. This document is the second in a series of publications released by the Core Identifier Workgroup on the use of identifiers within the enterprise. The first publication was a Business Scenario document that outlines the requirements for identity management products to support a standard representation of core identity. Business Scenario: Identifiers in the Enterprise captures some of the background, business processes, and actors related to the use of identifiers within the enterprise.
International Telecommunication Union - Next Generation Management Focus Group
DMTF is participating in the ITU Next Generation Management Focus Group (NGNMFG) by submitting publicly available specifications for review as part of the management solution for FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, and Security Management.)
The NGNMFG was established to advance the work of ITU-T SG4. The goal is to organize and undertake a centralized approach regarding specification of NGN related FCAPS interfaces.
A key element in the operation of the NGNMFG is that it engages key individuals from various organizations with management expertise and specifications applicable to NGN to collaborate in and contribute to this activity.
- Draft Recommendation: Security management systems functional requirements
- Liaison Statement: Rechartering of the NGN Management Focus Group
Update: The ITU-T Study Group 4 has terminated the NGNMFG, transitioning to the Joint Coordination Activity on Management (JCA-Mgt.)
